A firewall blocks applications from sending and receiving data over the internet. Geo Firewall puts a twist on this sort of functionality. Like a traditional firewall, it blocks internet communications. The twist is that it blocks certain geographical territories and countries. You can block an entire region, say Europe for example, or you can block just a particular country, like Romania.

Geo Firewall needs two things to run: Microsoft’s .NET 4.0 or newer and Microsoft’s Windows operating system. If you have a PC powered by anything from Windows XP SP3 up to Windows 8, with .NET 4.0 or newer on it, you won’t have any problems getting Geo Firewall up and running on it. Anyone who knows how to install an application will be able to quickly install this one.

The main panel of the application’s interface displays a list of regions and countries. If a region/country is checked, it means that it is allowed; if it is unchecked, it means that region/country is blocked.
Above the main panel, in the upper left hand corner, where it’s usually located, there’s a traditional File menu. And right underneath it there’s a toolbar with buttons for several features: expand the list, check/uncheck all elements on the list, apply rules, and more.

Geo Firewall takes a geographical approach to blocking internet communications. The firewall application allows you to block certain regions as well as specific countries. If you don’t want your PC to communicate with Africa, Asia, and Europe, you can block these regions. And if you don’t want your PC to communicate with Albania, Austria, and Romania, you can block these three countries.

The trial version of Geo Firewall allows you to set a limited number of rules and limits the number of simultaneous connections.

Get Geo Firewall and use it to block certain geographical regions and/or specific countries. This is a firewall that uses a geographical approach to blocking internet communications.

Pros

Any PC can run Geo Firewall; any PC user can easily install the application. Lots of regions and countries are supported. Use Geo Firewall to block/allow certain regions and countries. The firewall application is very easy to use.

Cons

Trial limitations.
